MAY 6th, 2011 UK Theatrical Release Date - “Everywhere And Nowhere” written and directed by Menhaj Huda, with original score by The Angel, is the third project that this team has worked on together. Set in London, it is a coming of age drama about friends torn apart by choices relating to their cultural identity. Ash (James Floyd pic), has to navigate between his strict family life and his personal freedom to pursue his passion for music as a DJ.

TV drama for Lifetime scored by The Angel 2008
2008 Lifetime Original Movie, “Racing for Time,” directed by Emmy Award winning director and actor Charles S. Dutton with Yaya Da Costa and Elizabeth Pena.

“Racing for Time” is based on the true story of a prison guard, played by Charles “Roc” Dutton, who forms a track team from a group of female prisoners in an attempt to teach them teamwork, discipline and self-esteem.

TV drama from Fox scored by The Angel 2006/7
Fox Drama series, “Standoff,” starring Ron Livingston and RoseMarie DeWitt.
The Angel was hired by the show’s creator, Craig Silverstein, to give the score “it’s own voice”. Angel created an evocative and contemporary palette to support the weekly series about a team of FBI hostage negotiators.

 

“The Heart Of The Game”

Documentary feature scored by The Angel, with narration by Ludacris.
2006 The film also Includes the end title song by The Angel featuring Mystic, “Believe It.”
Director Ward Serrill followed the Roosevelt Roughriders high school girls’ basketball team for six seasons capturing the drama and exhilaration of youth and the inspiration of a passionate coach whose lessons of self-esteem, confidence and compassion go far beyond the court.

“Let’s Get Frank”

Premiered on Logo in January 2006

This documentary, scored by The Angel and directed by Bart Everly, details the work of Congressman Barney Frank (D-Mass.), one of the top ranking members on the House Judiciary Commitee during the Clinton Impeachment hearings. It’s the story of one of America’s most well loved and outspoken politicians. It is also an unprecedented and surprisingly candid look at sexuality and politics at the end of the 20th Century.

FOTO-NOVELAS 2: “Junkyard Saints”

Short film for PBS’ 2003 Independent Lens series, directed by Carlos Avila. Inspired by the hugely popular Mexican and Latin pulp novel tradition, FOTO-NOVELAS weaves everyday reality with otherworldly surrealism. Scored by The Angel, it aired on PBS fall 2003.

 



“Boiler Room”

Feature Film scored by The Angel 2000

Released in 2000, this film about a group of young would be stock brokers, scamming the unsuspecting public, quickly became a classic. Director, Ben Younger had a unique and bold vision for the score. He hired Angel to make sure that the score would interweave seamlessly and credibly amongst the hip hop source music that defined the world of his characters. The film stars Giovanni Ribisi, Nicky Katt, Vin Diesel, Jamie Kennedy, Scott Caan and Ben Affleck.

“Gridlock’d”

Feature Film – additional score by The Angel 1997
Directed by Vondie Curtis-Hall, the 1997 film starred Tupac, Tim Roth and Thandie Newton. The Angel contributed score and her remix for Blue Note Records of Donald Byrd’s “Kofi” to the film.

 



“‘Til There Was You”

Feature Film – additional score by The Angel
Directed by Scott Winant, this 1997 film starring Dylan McDermott, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Sarah Jesica Parker was Angel’s entree into the world of film scoring. She was hired to score scenes in “The Awful Truth” restaurant.
