The documentary feature, LIVES BEYOND MOTION produced and scored by The Angel is a Micheaux Film Festival 2025 Official Selection and Outstanding Documentary Feature, Outstanding Director Nominee and winner of Outstanding Editing. “Thirty-three men in contemporary dance, including the legendary Bill T Jones, Lar Lubovitch, Kyle Abraham and Matthew Rushing, gift us a rare level of transparency as they share their sacrifices, triumphs and struggles to transcend economic, racial and sexual marginalization. Lives Beyond Motion highlights archival performance footage and preserves the legacy of these incredible artists, while spotlighting their uncompromising quest to find individual expression, joy in the art of movement and what it takes to make a life in the arts.”

The screening takes place on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at The Culver Theater, followed by a Q&A with director Keith Glassman, producer and composer The Angel.
