01 Jun 2025 Jaz Klash “Thru the Haze (Rewind)” EP Re-release
Thirty years ago in Bristol, England, the groundbreaking jazzy jungle/dnb collaboration between Los Angeles-based The Angel, and Bristol duo, More Rockers – Rob Smith aka RSD (Smith & Mighty) and Peter D – was born. Angel brought the downtempo/jazz and trip hop with More Rockers bringing the double-time jungle and dub.
The recent Fabio & Grooverider (and the Outlook Orchestra: A History of Jungle and Drum & Bass), sold out event at the Royal Albert Hall in London, is a great example of just how much the drum & bass and jungle scene has grown from the 90s to this day!
Supa Crucial Recordings are re-releasing the Jaz Klash EP “Thru the Haze (Rewind),” with a new radio edit of the title track featuring the legendary Hammond B3 player, Brian Auger. The EP was originally released by Bristol’s Cup of Tea Records in 1997!
