Released in 2006 – KiDULTHOOD, directed by Menhaj Huda with original score by The Angel, explores a day in the life of a group of troubled 15-year-olds growing up in West London. For fifteen-year-old Trife, life is a day to day struggle. Trapped between the worlds of his school friends, the girl he loves and the draw of his powerful and dangerous uncle, Trife must choose between the path he knows is right and a life of guns, drugs and violence. KiDULTHOOD explores a day in the life of a group of troubled 15-year-olds growing up in West London. For When a classmate’s suicide leaves Trife and his crew, Jay and Mooney, with the day off school, it seems as though a circle of violence has come to a tragic conclusion. In their world, sex is currency, drugs are easily obtained and bullying has triggered the sad events that begin and end this story.
