“Lives Beyond Motion” Co-Presented by Houston Ballet at Frame X Frame Film Fest

Lives Beyond Motion was the Opening Night film at the Frame X Frame Film Festival, Nov 7th, at the Houston Ballet Center for Dance as an Official Selection, “… a film that honors the history and evolution of men in dance.”

Co-presented by the Houston Ballet, the post screening Q&A was moderated by dancer, choreographer and activist Guy Harrison with a panel including director Keith Glassman, and Houston Ballet dancers Harper Watters (who, in 2025, became the company’s first Black, gay principal dancer), Song Teng (Corps de Ballet) and Sam Rodriguez (Corps de Ballet). The men shared their feelings about the film and explored themes of masculinity, artistry, and personal experience in dance today.
