HEIST 88 is coming to Paramount+ 9/29 with a linear debut on SHOWTIME Sunday 10/1. Loosely based on one of the biggest bank heists in US history, HEIST 88 centers on Jeremy Horne played by Courtney B. Vance.

Jeremy is masterful at enticing four non criminals including his nephew (a house music producer and label owner) and his friends, three young bank employees, to go in with him on a big money scheme.

The film, written and produced by Dwayne Johnson-Cochran, is an intriguing, intense ride set in 1988 at the height of the Chicago house music scene, with a strong ensemble cast including Keith David, Keesha Sharp, Nican Robinson, Bentley Green, Precious Way and Xavier Clyde.

Since their first collaboration on the UK cult hit, KiDULTHOOD, Angel has scored numerous projects for director Menhaj Huda. For HEIST 88, Menhaj had Angel tap into the sounds of 80’s club music for a driving, thematic score using a mix of electronic instrumentation with minimal traditional instruments.
