The Angel - Sony dub stage
DEVILISHLY GOOD PRODUCTIONS

Devilishly Good Productions is a music production company based in Los Angeles, providing original music for film, television and advertising, known for the ground breaking work of its creative driving force, record producer and composer, The Angel.

The Angel launched her career as a record producer and recording artist in the nineties after signing with Los Angeles label, Delicious Vinyl (The Pharcyde, Tone Loc, The Brand New Heavies). She also brought her signature sound to remixes and record productions for Bay Area, Grammy nominee Mystic, Slimkid3, The Pharcyde, Michael Franti’s Spearhead and Donald Byrd among others. And in 2023, The Angel controls the rights to her entire catalogue of master recordings and  publishing, now available for one stop licensing via her own record label Supa Crucial Recordings and publishing company Supa Crucial Music.

The Angel quickly broke out of the confines of the song format and into film composing with the genre defining scores for the features, BOILER ROOM (Giovanni Ribisi, Vin Diesel) and KiDULTHOOD (Noel Clarke, Aml Ameen), and later marked television milestones for a female composer, scoring the Fox primetime FBI drama, STANDOFF (Ron Livingston, Rosemarie DeWitt), TNT’s Jada Pinkett Smith medical drama series, HAWTHORNE and Ava DuVernay’s CBS DOJ themed pilot, FOR JUSTICE among others.

The Angel has scored and produced several projects including the feature documentary, BORN TO LEAD: THE SAL AUNESE STORY (directed by Lara Slife) as well as award winning short films, BOMBS BURSTING IN AIR (directed by Lidiya Korotko) and recently completed, CONFESSIONS (a series proof-of-concept written, directed and produced by Evette Vargas) on the festival circuit in 2023.  The Angel’s score for short film THE KILL FOOR for director Carlos Avila (Latino Public Broadcasting) and the TV movie, HEIST 88 for director Menhaj Huda (Bassett/Vance and Paramount) have just been completed. Devilishly Good Productions has also expanded into development with a number of drama projects for film and TV in the works.
